Rivkin Center Celebrating 20th Anniversary

Press Release · February 2, 2016

The Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2016. To celebrate this milestone, the organization is changing its name to the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer. The name change allows the Rivkin Center to continue offering grants to ovarian cancer researchers around the globe and to broaden its scope of support for high-risk screening, education, and awareness.

In celebration of embarking on its third decade of funding ovarian cancer research, the Rivkin Center has unveiled a new brand identity that reflects the organization’s future strategic direction, mission, and goals. Included in the new branding is a shortened name, redesigned logo, and updated website.

In 20 years, the Rivkin Center has invested over $9 million in ovarian cancer research grants, making it one of the largest private funders of ovarian cancer research in the United States. The organization also founded the Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium, the longest-running ovarian cancer symposium in the United States. In addition, the Rivkin Center has been a driving force behind early detection screening at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
