Revella Bensussen was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer in November of 1999. While her fight against the disease was short-lived, her courage and fortitude during her battle were fierce.

Dr. Saul Rivkin was instrumental in helping Revella through the difficult treatment for ovarian cancer, which finally took her life January 13, 2000. He helped keep her and our family feeling positive and inspired during a very difficult time.

Revella was a gracious and caring person to all that knew her: a loving wife, mother, grandmother, family member, and friend. Her love of life will forever be remembered by those who knew her best. Her selfless nature was welcoming to everyone and she provided insight and guidance to so many.

In her memory, the entire Bensussen Family will continue to work with the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer so that someday we can find a cure for this disease.

We are all grateful for the work the Center does and appreciate being a part of their exciting new research efforts.
